Domenech has clear-the-air talks with Arsenal trio

FRANCE team manager Raymond Domenech had a clear-the-air meeting with Arsenal trio Thierry Henry, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira after watching the Gunners draw 2-2 with Bolton at Highbury on Saturday.

Domenech and Pires traded criticisms in the French media recently, with the winger expressing bewilderment at the national team chief’s questioning of his motivation when playing for France.

Henry, meanwhile, revealed that he considered joining the exodus of French stars into international retirement after Euro-2004.

Domenech’s meeting with the Arsenal trio, attended by his assistant Pierre Mankowski, is seen as a bid to restore stability in the French camp before Ireland visit Paris next month.
