Real tipped to land Ronaldinho ahead of United

RONALDINHO’S brother and agent Roberto Assis has confirmed that Real Madrid are favourites to land the Brazilian World Cup winner ahead of Manchester United — although he will not rule out the Old Trafford club.

United boss Alex Ferguson has earmarked the 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain player as the man to replace new Real capture David Beckham in the hearts of the United faithful.

However, it is looking increasingly as if Real are winning what seems more and more like a two-horse race even though Barcelona, Chelsea and Newcastle have also been touted as potential candidates to sign the player over the last month.
