Birmingham make Euell approach

BIRMINGHAM have failed with an initial approach for Charlton striker Jason Euell.

The 28-year-old started just seven league matches last season for the Addicks but boss Alan Curbishley has stressed there is still a role for Euell to play at The Valley.

However, he also hinted that Euell could be available at the right price.

Curbishley said: “Birmingham have enquired but they are nowhere near what we think is the right figure. Really, the ball’s in their court.”

Euell has spent the last four seasons at Charlton and delivered double-figure goal returns in the first three but netted just twice in the Premiership last term.
