Act like men, urges Venables

LEEDS manager Terry Venables has urged all at the troubled Elland Road club “to be very responsible and act like men” following his decision to remain at the helm.

Venables spent the last three days agonising over whether to walk away or soldier on following the manner of Jonathan Woodgate’s £9 million sale to Newcastle last Friday.

For the sake of the team, and realising his exit would only serve as “another blow” to the players, Venables has chosen to continue until the end of the season at least.
