MANCHESTER United chief executive Peter Kenyon has promised Alex Ferguson there will be transfer funds available in the summer.

But Kenyon says it will be more a case of the manager “tweaking the squad rather than massively rebuilding it.” Ferguson’s top target is understood to be a striker.

“There are funds available this year but when you look at our team it is about tweaking rather than massive rebuilding,” Kenyon told MUTV.
