Israel attack claim denied

THE FAI have firmly denied reports from Israel’s media that their team bus was stoned by Irish fans and pro-Palestinian protestors after Saturday night’s draw.

It’s understood that no report of any such serious incident was made by the security detail protecting the Israeli team in Dublin. A suggestion that Israeli keeper Dudu Aouate had been assaulted was also denied.

And a further report that FAI chief executive John Delaney had visited the Israeli delegation in Dublin to apologise has also been dismissed by the Association as being entirely without foundation.
