Two referees a possibility

EUROPEAN football’s governing body UEFA is to investigate the use of two referees in matches amid increasing claims of players faking injury.

UEFA chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson said: “The use of two referees will be discussed in the summer. Previous tests haven’t been successful because of communication.

“It seems (faking) has been significantly more in Britain, although there have been reports from international games as well.”
