DANNY MILLS has became the latest high-earner to be ushered through the Elland Road exit door - with Kevin Keegan confirming Leeds have given the England full-back a helping hand.

Just as the cash-strapped West Yorkshire outfit contributed an estimated £10,000 to Robbie Fowler's weekly wage when he crossed the Pennines 18 months ago, so Leeds are thought to be paying Mills a similar sum, even though he has now signed a five-year contract with the Blues.

With no cash at his disposal, Keegan said at the start of the summer City would have to be flexible in their attempts to sign new faces and though the Leeds pay-off meant a 24-hour delay to the eventual deal, Keegan is happy to accept any help he can get.
