Bid to reduce ticket prices

Bid to reduce ticket prices

Caborn, acting in his role as chairman of European Sports Ministers, will pursue a change in the law to force a salary cap throughout European football.

“Whatever the surplus the clubs will save as a consequence of a salary cap, what better way to use the extra money than to give some of it back to their fans,” said Caborn. “There is no doubt high ticket prices have driven fans away. There should be special prices for families and subsidised away travel.”
