WEST HAM manager Alan Pardew insists he will not be forced to axe Christian Dailly or Steve Lomas due to financial pressure.

The Hammers are deep in debt and missed out on an immediate return to the Premiership by losing the play-off final to Crystal Palace.

Pardew is under pressure to reduce the wage bill again this summer. But he says skipper Dailly and midfielder Lomas are safe, despite their high salaries: “It is essential we hold on to people like Dailly and Lomas. They will just be more determined to make sure we get promoted.”
