Reynolds quits Waterford United

Waterford United confirmed yesterday that Alan Reynolds has resigned as manager of the Eircom Premier League club.

The player/manager held a meeting with the club’s two remaining directors in the afternoon and following those talks, stepped down from his managerial role.

Reynolds was involved in a controversial bust-up with Finn Harps player Chris Breen after the final whistle of Saturday night’s clash with Harps.

Waterford are fourth from bottom in the Premier Division. The club are expected to issue a further statement today.
