Everton to target Parker

EVERTON are planning to lure out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Scott Parker to Liverpool in the January transfer window.

Manager David Moyes has cash to spend from the sale of Wayne Rooney to Manchester United.

“We were interested in Scott Parker before he went to Chelsea and he’d be a player we’d consider if he became available again,” Moyes said.

Parker has made just one appearance as a substitute for Chelsea this season, but has been assured by boss Jose Mourinho he will get a chance.

Meanwhile, Everton’s Tim Cahill did not suffer any serious leg damage after a horror tackle from Tottenham’s Jamie Redknapp on Saturday.
