Spalletti confident of Roma success

ROMA coach Luciano Spalletti is confident his side can return to winning ways against Middlesbrough in the UEFA Cup tonight.

The Giallorossi are 1-0 down going into their last-16 second leg tie at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma have lost momentum since beating city rivals Lazio to clinch the Serie A record of 11 consecutive wins two weeks ago, and slipped to a 3-2 defeat at minnows Ascoli on Sunday.

“I am convinced we can win and turn around the result. If we play as we have done in recent months there’s no reason why we cannot go through,” said Spalletti.
