CORK CITY will be praying for a good clean showing from Republic of Ireland sides between now and May as it could net them a UEFA Cup place next autumn.

The Leesiders narrowly missed out on an Intertoto Cup spot last season after finishing third in the premier division behind champions Bohemians and runners-up Shamrock Rovers.

However, they could go one better as a result of UEFA's Fair Play League.
