Beckham relishing return to England

REAL MADRID midfielder David Beckham admits he would have rather faced former club Manchester United in the Champions League but is still relishing a clash with Arsenal.

Beckham said: “I’ve been waiting three years to return to play in England. When you are a Real Madrid player you travel a lot but I have always wanted to return to England.

“I would have liked to have played against Manchester (United) but to play against Arsenal is also important for me.”

He believes a resurgent Real can defeat the Highbury club over two legs.

“We are in good form and now we are taking advantage of our potential. We are capable of destroying our opponents and I hope that we play a good game against Arsenal.”
