FIFA to rule on disputed player

FIFA are expected to decide today whether Spanish club Osasuna have any claim on Birmingham’s Argentinian striker Luciano Figueroa.

It emerged yesterday the player’s lawyer signed an ‘agreement’ with the Primera Liga club before he eventually joined Birmingham in a £2.5m transfer from Rosario Central.

Now Osasuna and Birmingham have both submitted dossiers for FIFA to look at before a decision is made.
