Blackburn lashed over Savage bid

The Blues have turned down two offers from Rovers for their skipper, who has handed in a transfer request.

ā€œThere is absolutely no question in my mind that Robbie Savage has been tapped up by Blackburn,ā€ Sullivan said.

ā€œIt’s outrageous, disgraceful and, quite frankly, despicable behaviour. I have always enjoyed a good relationship with the people at Blackburn and I can only put it down to the naivety of their manager Mark Hughes and the bitterness of his assistant Mark Bowen who left Birmingham on extremely bad terms.

ā€œWe have stopped short of reporting them because we believe it serves no purpose. And what will the Premier League do? Slap them on the wrist and fine them Ā£50,000?ā€
