FIFA rank Irish 15th

THE Republic of Ireland have dropped one place to 15th in the FIFA world rankings after the latest figures were released by the sport’s governing body.

England have dropped two places and are now 10th. Wales remain unchanged at 51st, Scotland have gone down one place to 60th and Northern Ireland are still at 110th.

Mexico have climbed to fifth in the wake of their Gold Cup triumph following a 1-0 win in the final over Brazil who fielded an U23 side. The top three positions remain unchanged , with Brazil top, France second and Spain third.
