Kerr pleads for end to feuding

IRELAND'S manager, Brian Kerr, yesterday called on the feuding officer board of the FAI to park their differences and allow the recently appointed chief executive get on with the job.

The board of management of the FAI will meet today, ostensibly to firm up the proposals for change that were agreed at the AGM by rubber-stamping the planned rule changes.

There were reports in Dublin yesterday that some of the 20 members of the board will seek to turn the focus of the meeting on to the chief executive and attempt to open up discussion on his stewardship.
