Hartepool sack boss

MARTIN SCOTT has been sacked as manager of League One Hartlepool.

Scott was suspended by the club last week following a dressing room bust-up with an unnamed player after a 3-0 home defeat to Blackpool. Pools held an investigation into the incident and after meetings with Scott and chairman Ken Hodcroft, released a statement.

It read: “It has now been agreed that Martin will no longer be first-team manager and will leave the club to pursue his UEFA Pro Licence coaching badge, spend time with his family and move forward with his career.”
