Euro teams get League Cup byes
The four clubs in European competition have received byes due to their heavier fixture programme and each pool contains one of these four teams (Cork City, Derry City, Drogheda United and Shelbourne). The pools have been created on a geographical basis.
All pools will have two fixtures and two byes. After the first round, the four remaining teams in each pool will be drawn into two pairings in an open draw within that pool. The quarter-final and semi-final draws will conducted be on an open basis.

: Finn Harps v Galway United; Longford Town v Mayo League; Byes: Derry City & Sligo Rovers
: Dublin City v Kildare County; Bray Wanderers v St. Pat’s; Byes: Shamrock Rovers & Shelbourne
