No way Jose, say FA

CHELSEA manager Jose Mourinho yesterday had his appeal against a fine for improper conduct dismissed by the FA.

Mourinho was charged and then fined £5,000 for comments he made after his side’s Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho was upset after the goalless draw when his side were frustrated by Alex Ferguson’s men.

“In the second half it was whistle and whistle, fault and fault, cheat and cheat,” Mourinho said after the game.

In a colourful first season in the Premiership, Mourinho was also reminded of his responsibility to abide by FA rules governing the conduct of managers after his infamous gesture to Liverpool fans during the Carling Cup final.

He was also fined for his part in an illegal meeting with Arsenal full-back Ashley Cole, and fined and given a touchline ban after comments made about referee Anders Frisk.
