FORMER Arsenal and Northern Ireland defender Steve Morrow has resigned as assistant coach to US MLS club Dallas Burn.

Belfast-born Morrow, 34, left on Monday for personal reasons and will return to London where his wife and children continued to live during his time in the US.

He was in his first year as an assistant to another former Northern Ireland international, Colin Clarke. He had spent the previous two seasons as a player having joined from QPR but was forced to retire towards the end of the 2003 season due to a neck injury.
