Magical Brazil slay Greeks

WORLD champions Brazil easily saw off the challenge of European champions Greece 3-0 in group B of the Confederations Cup last night.

The Brazilians were at their magical best and Inter Milan’s Adriano gave them the lead four minutes before the break with a 35-yard shot.

Robinho got the second 60 seconds after the restart before Lyon’s Juninho put the seal on it with a free-kick.

Earlier in the day, Mexico came from a goal down to defeat Japan 2-1 in the other group B match. Despite Mexico playing the better football early on Atsushi Yanagisawa put Japan in front.

However, Mexico were level six minutes before the interval though Zinha. Mexico pressed home their advantage after the interval with Francisco Fonseca getting the winner.
