FAI chief gets back to basics

JOHN DELANEY, the new interim chief executive of the FAI, has confirmed he will be a candidate in the process to fill the post on a permanent basis.

He has reiterated the advertising of the posts of CEO and financial director will take place by January 1.

In the context of a body notorious for in-fighting and a CEO's office which has virtually had a revolving door in recent years, Delaney yesterday declared he is going into the job with his eyes open.
