NEWCASTLE UNITED midfielder Kieron Dyer was yesterday given the all-clear to be part of the squad to face Middlesbrough after undergoing x-rays on his sore shin.

The 23-year-old England star has been complaining of soreness in the shin in which he has previously suffered stress fractures for two weeks, but latest tests have revealed there is no lasting damage.

United sent him for further examinations yesterday in a bid to ease his fears that there was a major problem, and the results have come as good news for Bobby Robson's men, who will make the short trip to the Riverside Stadium tonight with one of their most influential performers.
