Jewell is delighted to capture the 17-year-old attacking midfielder from Gwarek Zabrze, who will join the club in the summer once he has completed his education in Poland.

“We have had to beat off stiff competition to land him, and hopefully he can fulfil his potential with us. Tomasz is a bright lad with an excellent attitude, and we are convinced he can go on to play a major part in the future of Wigan Athletic,” said Jewell. Wigan meanwhile have taken Barnsley’s £1m rated England U-20 goalkeeper Scott Flinders on trial.
