Limerick play Rovers in friendly

LIMERICK FC go into action this week when they meet Shamrock Rovers in a pre-season friendly at Hogan Park on Friday night (7.30pm).

Limerick play Rovers in friendly

Limerick manager Noel O’Connor and his recently-appointed assistant boss Aidan Ryan are working well in training and are expected to name a full 22-man squad for the meeting with Roddy Collins’s side.

Friday’s game against the Hoops will be the Shannonsiders first match at the venue in over three seasons and they will be hoping for good home support.

In 2002, Limerick FC vacated the venue but have now returned under new owner Danny Drew who has secured the 13.17 acre site as a permanent home for the club.

Car parking for Friday night’s game will be provided by TBA Heat Merchants on the Childers Road.
