RTÉ win rights to live Premiership games

RTÉ have secured rights to broadcast 15 FA Barclaycard Premiership games live during the 2004/2005 season.

Yesterday, Setanta Sport and RTÉ signed a three-year contract for the Irish rights for Premiership soccer from the FA Premier League, with the matches to be shown at 3pm on Saturday afternoons. In addition, Setanta Sport will show 15 extra games on a pay-per-view basis over the course of the season. They will also be screened at 3pm on Saturdays

RTÉ has also regained the Premiership highlights rights and will continue to broadcast their regular Saturday evening show- The Premiership.
