Preston shock at axe

SACKED Livingston manager Allan Preston has been left shocked by the decision to relieve him of his duties.

Preston and his assistant, former Republic of Ireland player Alan Kernaghan, were dismissed after a run of seven straight defeats left them bottom of the Scottish Premier League.

Meanwhile, Craig Brewster was named as the new Inverness manager yesterday, penning a two-and-a-half-year contract.
