Jose has the last word

A bitter war of words broke out between Mark Hughes and Jose Mourinho last night with the Blackburn boss accusing his Chelsea counterpart of snubbing the traditional post-match handshake.

Mourinho countered by describing Hughes' claim as "ridiculous" and blasted Blackburn for dirty tricks before and during his side's 1-0 win at Ewood Park, including watering the pitch.

Hughes said: "I was a little bit more upset that the opposing manager was not gracious enough to shake my hand. Sometimes you have to be gracious in defeat but you also have to be gracious in victory afterwards.
