Murphy moves to Galway

Agreement has been reached between Derry City and Galway United on a fee for the transfer of centre-forward Alan Murphy to Derry.
Murphy moves to Galway

Murphy was top scorer in the country last season with Galway and was signed by Derry before the start of the season. He was prevented from playing for them last week while Galway's claim for a transfer fee was referred to a tribunal. A fee of €22,000 was recommended by the tribunal yesterday and Derry moved quickly to clear the way for Murphy to play for them against champions Shelbourne at the Brandywell on Saturday by accepting this valuation.
