Ireland U-21 Capper signs for Finn Harps

REPUBLIC of Ireland U-21 player Stephen Capper flew to Donegal yesterday to sign for Eircom League Premier Division strugglers Finn Harps.

The 21-year-old from Skerries, who had spells at Sunderland and Scarborough, has played at two European finals, having represented Ireland at the U-16 Championships in Israel in 2000 as well as in Norway in 2002.

Injuries and contractual difficulties have left him out of the game for the last few months.

He is expected to make his debut in Ballybofey on Saturday against Bray Wanderers.
