Fayed physician treats Coleman

The Fulham manager may have to remain on a drip of antibiotics for the next 48 hours as doctors attempt to discover the exact nature of his illness. Coleman became ill on Tuesday and missed Fulham’s 3-0 FA Cup win at West Ham. But yesterday the situation appeared to worsen.

The club have not released details of the infection or its seriousness, but Fayed has kept in close touch with Coleman’s situation. A Fulham statement last night added:

“Chris is feeling substantially better, but he will need to spend a further 24-48 hours in hospital.”
