Celtic youngsters agree to extend contracts

CELTIC youngsters Darren O’Dea, Diarmuid O’Carroll and Michael McGlinchey have all signed extended contracts with the club.

Attacking midfielder McGlinchey, 18, has committed himself to the Hoops until June 2009, while Republic of Ireland U-19 internationals O’Dea and O’Carroll, also 18, have penned new contracts which will run until the end of June 2008.

Celtic reserve team manager Kenny McDowall said: “We are delighted to have secured these three players on extended contracts. While they are well aware of the hard work which lies ahead of them, each of these lads has the potential to achieve a lot in the next few years.
