Bruce keeps faith in Blues’ backroom

STEVE BRUCE has given his backing to Birmingham physio Neil McDiarmid and the club’s medical staff and insisted they should shoulder no blame for the club’s major injury problems during the past 18 months.

Bruce has faced major injury problems with Mikael Forssell, Muzzy Izzet, David Dunn and Stan Lazaridis sidelined for lengthy spells.

The City boss has investigated various theories why Blues encountered such problems, including training methods and the St Andrew’s pitch.
