Wenger’s Euro vision

ARSENE WENGER delivered a warning to his treble-chasing Arsenal team ahead of tonight’s Champions League tie against Celta Vigo by insisting only European success would make them a great side.

While Arsenal hold a 3-2 lead from the away leg of their last 16 tie against the Spanish side, Wenger has urged his players to take heed from the final period of their 5-1 FA Cup rout of Portsmouth.

“We eased up against Portsmouth when we were 5-0 up and they hit the post and the bar, and had another chance cleared off the line, as well as scoring,” he said.
