Colombia clear Angel to play for Villa

ASTON VILLA striker Juan Pablo Angel has been given the green light by Colombia to play for his club in tomorrow’s Premiership clash at Charlton.

Angel will be allowed to delay his flight to Peru for next Wednesday's World Cup qualifier until after the clash at The Valley.

The former River Plate player is desperate to help Villa's push for a European place against one of their main rivals and add to his 20-goal tally.

It also demonstrates his desire to do well for manager David O'Leary after looking likely to quit the club last summer.

But the gruelling return journey he does not arrive back until Saturday week will put a question mark over whether he can face Manchester City on April 4.
