JACKIE McNAMARA yesterday urged Celtic to offer him the long-term contract he craves to end his career at Parkhead.

The 31-year-old is one of a number of players currently in the final months of their present deals with the club but, while most of the headlines have been dominated by John Hartson, Neil Lennon and Bobo Balde, the Scotland international has been awaiting an offer of his own.

The Celtic skipper is the longest-serving player at the club, having been there since 1995, and he is desperate that his testimonial year with the champions is not his last.
