Toffees halt Chelsea charge
The Toffeemen ended the champions’ nine-game Premiership winning streak at Goodison Park in a game that left Jose Mourinho accusing the match officials of costing his team victory.
Although Everton deservedly became the first team to take a point off Chelsea this season, Mourinho left Merseyside complaining linesman Chris Sarginson had denied his team three points by ruling out Didier Drogba’s 63rd minute goal, despite substitute Eidur Gudjohnsen standing four yards behind the last defender.
