Kelleher brace gives Castleview first title

CASTLEVIEW are the new Beamish Stout Munster Senior League champions after defeating Douglas Hall 2-0 at O’Sullivan Park last night.

Kelleher brace gives Castleview first title

Keith Kelleher was the northsiders’ hero, as he grabbed both goals in the first ten minutes to set Patsy Freyne’s side on their way to their first Premier Division title in their 49-year history.

Castleview went into the game knowing a win would give them the title. A draw or a defeat would have given Rockmount hope of catching them. As it worked out, Rockmount could only manage a 1-1 draw with St Mary’s, but the ‘View’ had already done their job.
