Ireland's new goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly believes Newcastle number one Given is the perfect candidate to take over from the now retired Kenny Cunningham.

Manager Steve Staunton concedes he has not had time to address the matter as yet, given the manner of his whirlwind arrival into the hot seat.
