Mutu lands five-year Italian job with Juventus

JUVENTUS have signed Romanian international striker Adrian Mutu on a five-year contract.

The 25-year-old was sacked by Chelsea after failing a drugs test in October 2004 and subsequently banned for seven months.

However, Mutu will not be able to play for the Serie A side until the ban expires on May 18.

Mutu has plenty of Serie A experience having also played for Internazionale, Verona and Parma before moving to Stamford Bridge in August 2003 for £15.8million.

He started well, scoring on his debut for the Londoners, but then he struggled to hold down a regular first team place when Jose Mourinho took over from Claudio Ranieri as the Chelsea boss.
