Acimovic injury worry for Lille

LILLE playmaker Milenko Acimovic is struggling to be fit for the UEFA Cup clash with Shelbourne at Lansdowne Road tomorrow.

The 27-year-old injured a calf muscle during Slovenia’s 0-0 draw against Scotland in Glasgow last week and missed his club’s 1-0 victory over Nice in the French League on Saturday night.

Lille are one of only three teams in France who are pointless away from home this season, following two defeats. Claude Puel’s men have failed to score on their travels and owe their 13th place in the table to their home record (two wins, one draw).
