You’ll never walk alone, Houllier tells Owen

LIVERPOOL manager Gerard Houllier has promised Michael Owen he can look forward to his continued support.

The England striker has not scored in open play since the final day of last season against Ipswich and missed a penalty on Saturday in the 2-0 defeat of West Brom. “I have always supported him and I always will,” the Anfield boss said.

“Okay, things aren’t going the way he wants them to at the moment, but I don’t believe in it being bad luck.
