Pearce still wants Stelios

MANCHESTER CITY boss Stuart Pearce has vowed not to be put off by Bolton’s £4m (€5.9m) valuation of unsettled midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos.

Pearce will continue to target the Greek international despite having a £1m bid rejected out of hand by angry Trotters chief Sam Allardyce.

And he insists that while City are not ready to step up their bid, the imminent closure of the transfer window will not put him off.
