Chelsea agree fee for Kezman

CHELSEA have agreed a transfer fee with PSV Eindhoven for striker Mateja Kezman.

The 25-year-old will travel to London next week to finalise personal terms, have a medical and apply for a work permit.

“We are delighted to have agreed terms with PSV for Mateja,” Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said.

“He is one of the top strikers in Europe and will be an excellent addition to our squad and team.”

Kezman boasts a prolific goalscoring record, having scored 95 goals in four seasons for PSV.

The Serbo-Montenegrin international has previously been linked with several Premiership clubs, including Birmingham and Fulham. In May, Birmingham made PSV an offer for Kezman but they could not reach an agreement with the Eindhoven outfit.

The player was also a reported target of Liverpool.
