Haapala’s City future in doubt

THE Manchester City future of Finland international Tuomas Haapala is looking grim after he was allowed to play for Leicester reserves against Tottenham last night.

Haapala joined the Blues on a six-month contract after impressing during a brief trial period but has failed to make a first-team breakthrough.

Even though City will be without up to 10 players for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea, it appears Haapala will still not make Stuart Pearce’s travelling party.
