Pennant joins Leeds on loan

ARSENAL have confirmed that England U21 international Jermaine Pennant has joined Leeds on a two-month loan.

The 20-year-old has struggled to force his way into Arsene Wenger's first-team plans at Highbury since joining the club for £2m from Notts County, a record fee for a teenager, five years ago.

The move comes a day after Pennant was sent off during the England U21 side's 3-0 defeat by Croatia at Upton Park.
