Rovers have their eyes set on Europe

Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal was not the shock it would have been last season. Arsene Wenger’s side have been woeful on the road, with Morten Gamst Pedersen’s 18th-minute goal condemning them to an eighth away Premiership defeat. Meanwhile, Ewood Park has become something of a fortress for the home side with only two defeats there all season.

Blackburn have now won five and drawn one of their last six home games. That is the kind of form shown by European contenders.
